Electronic Repair Technician - Brisbane

We're seeking a skilled Electronic Repair Technician for bench level repairs and fault finding of modules used for the electronic gaming machines and associated electronic equipment. What will you be doing?  

Whilst your home base will be at our Pinkenba logistics centre, occasionally you may be required travel to and assist our other regional site offices (Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and regional Qld). 

This position is critical to the streamlined delivery of quality serviceable gaming machine components to support our clients. You will conduct electronic diagnostics, maintenance and repairs across all assemblies within gaming machines and auxiliary equipment. Whilst not the primary function of the role, there will be some responsibility over efficient store service to all internal and external customers. 

Autonomy
The Electronic Repair Technician is expected to operate with a high level of self-sufficiency in their area of expertise and seek guidance to resolve non-routine and /or complex compliance matters. You will be required to use sound judgment when prioritising diagnostics and repairs and determining the best course of action to schedule work within an established framework and timeline. 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Effectively undertake examination and testing of equipment to accurately diagnose faults in a manner that is in accordance with established practices, systems and processes.
  • Effectively undertake adjustments, repairs and replace worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintains electronic gaming and auxiliary equipment parts.
  • Reassemble, install, test, adjust, calibrate, modify and repair electrical equipment to conform with regulations and safety requirements.
  • Advise Technicians of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles in commissioning and maintaining systems.
  • Proactively communicate with other Odyssey Gaming departments to ensure they are aware of any potential to impact on the Repair Centre’s ability to deliver its services within agreed parameters.
  • Interpret technical drawings & information (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc)
  • Accurately and efficiently process all goods received/despatched.
  • Plan, process, and implement efficient and cost-effective logistics procedures.
  • Accurately manage inventory including the effective and accurate use of any inventory management systems in place.
  • Maintain clean, professional, and safe premises and equipment.
